Overview
This carefully balanced itinerary gives you three very different sides of Thailand in one seamless holiday. Your journey begins in Bangkok, a city that strikes a harmony between its ancient traditions and modern energy. While staying at the Mode Sathorn Hotel, you’ll be perfectly placed to discover dazzling temples like Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, cruise along the Chao Phraya River, or simply wander through street markets filled with colours, flavours, and crafts.
From here, you’ll travel to Khao Sok National Park, home to lush jungle, limestone cliffs, and the famous Cheow Lan Lake. Staying at The Elephant Camp for two nights, you’ll have the rare opportunity to meet elephants in an ethical and sustainable way, as well as experience guided jungle explorations and canoeing adventures. It’s a refreshing change of pace that lets you connect with Thailand’s natural heritage.
The final stretch of your holiday is all about relaxation. At Katathani Phuket Beach Resort, you’ll enjoy direct access to a sweeping sandy beach, with excellent facilities for both couples and families. Spend your mornings by the pool or the sea, try authentic Thai dishes at beachfront restaurants, and take in Phuket’s vibrant yet laid-back charm. When Can You Travel?
Thailand is a year-round destination, yet the best time to enjoy this carefully crafted journey – combining Bangkok, Khao Sok, and Phuket – depends on the experience you seek.
From November to February, the country enjoys its cool, dry season. Bangkok’s busy streets feel more comfortable to explore, temples glisten under clear skies, and evenings are pleasantly mild. Down south, Phuket’s beaches are at their finest, with calm turquoise waters and golden sunsets – a perfect match for relaxed days by the sea. This is considered the peak season, so expect a lively atmosphere and popular sights at their busiest.
Travelling between March and May means stepping into Thailand’s hot season. In Bangkok, temperatures climb, but this is also when local festivals such as Songkran (Thai New Year) bring the city alive with water celebrations. At Elephant Hills, the rainforest is rich and green, while Phuket’s coast remains a great choice for lazy days and cooling swims.
From June to October, Thailand shifts into its green season. Occasional tropical showers bring freshness to the air and add to the magic of Khao Sok’s jungle. Phuket is quieter, offering a slower pace and fewer crowds, while prices are more appealing. For travellers who don’t mind a little rain, this period can feel more personal and rewarding.
Whichever season you choose, this itinerary ensures you’ll encounter the best of Thailand’s cities, wildlife, and beaches – each destination revealing a different shade of its charm.
